Traditional/Contemporary Dance Bio: Historic (over 500 years old) English folk dance accompanied by musicians. Morris dancers perform choreographed figures based on rhythmic stepping, using sticks or hankerchiefs and wearing bells. Morris Dancing-Cotswold Style Bio: Holly Tree Morris was started as the Victoria Morris Men in 1974 in Victoria, BC. Originally a men's side, it was joined by the women's side in 1980, and live musicians were added to the dancing. HTM performs dances in the Cotswold style, from southern England.
